Excellent Colne Heating
Michael has serviced my boiler and hot water cylinder for the last 2 years and carried out some general plumbing repairs for both myself and my parents. He is a pleasure to deal with, reliable, professional, clean and tidy, takes his time over the job and doesn't mind answering questions and explaining everything he is doing. A few days before Christmas last year, on a Saturday evening, I called him in an emergency after finding water running from the cylinder. He was here within 30 minutes and sorted the problem - a huge relief. I would highly recommend him and have done so to family and friends. Michael knows his trade and I feel confident he would be there to help in any further emergencies and also for scheduled repair. His pricing is transparent and he genuinely cares about doing a good job and looking after his customers. Thank you Michael.

Michael put himself out to attend at short notice to resolve an awkward problem with my elderly Mother's central heating system. It was very close to Christmas so her being left with no heating and no hot water was particularly worrying. The problem was a blocked pipe from the header tank in the loft. Michael tracked down the blockage, removed, cleared and replaced the offending pipe and the heating is now running perfectly. He was a pleasure to deal with: knowledgeable, pleasant and reliable, with fair pricing. Thoroughly recommended.

Very professional and efficient service
Michael was available to give advice over the telephone, before offering a prompt visit on the following morning to solve issues with my downstairs central heating. Upon his arrival, Michael was friendly and knowledgeable, and quickly diagnosed the problem, taking the time to explain where the problems lay and what was required to fix them. I asked whether I might need to replace my boiler, and Michael was clear that this was not necessary at this time, making me feel safe and secure that he would not try to sell me unnecessary goods or services. The work was completed promptly, with no mess left behind. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Michael.

First class service
Michael came at the end of his day to look at my boiler that had been working until it had the annual service and was passed with all boxes ticked. It was obviously not working properly. He found two problems that were making the boiler unsafe, ordered parts. Whilst I am now waiting for the parts and do not have heat or hot water I am safe and hope to be able to celebrate my 81st birthday next Wednesday safe and hopefully warm. Thanks Michael. Excellent, friendly plumber!

Michael resonded to our call swiftly and knew exactly hat was wrong with the boiler he even had the spare part on him!! As well as replacing the faulty part he also gave us a tutorial on how to check the water pressure gauge. I was extremely impressed with the service. He was friendly and polite. i would definitely recommend to a friend!!

Excellent first impression
Michael responded to my online enquiry very promptly. He was polite and friendly and was able to spot the problem very quickly.
He was also patient when having to repeatedly explain the problem in a way that I could understand!
He advised me not to be in a rush to change my boiler unnecessarily which was useful to know and seemed very competent.
My first impression was excellent and I would not hesitate to call him again.

I found Michael via this site about 2 years ago. Our boiler is quite old and whilst great when working experienced a series of parts failures following many years of neglect. All previous engineers had 'sucked their teeth' and recommended a new one but Michael assured me this was not necessary. Michael has replaced various parts and services my boiler annually. As a result, I have saved thousands and feel reassured that if I do have a problem, Michael will be able to diagnose and fix it quickly…

Michael is very professional. He phoned ahead and turned up when expected. He took his shoes off and spent as long as he needed to make sure that all the problems were dealt with. Michael discovered problems that we think had been ongoing for some time - even though we had had the boiler serviced each year. We would highly recommend him and we will be using him again.

To the rescue
I found myself with no central heating after my boiler failed so Michael came round the same day and identified the problem. He was back the next day with the necessary parts. Fast, no fuss service at a reasonable price and I would definitely recommend.

Michael is very professional and always courteous. He has a lot of knowledge and is explaining all the bits in what he is doing, which is very assuring for a person who doesn't know. He is always doing the annual service for the gas boiler and all the other checks.

GAS ENGINEER - CENTRAL HEATING - PLUMBING SERVICES - THOROUGHLY RECOMMENDED
Without hot water, we contacted Mr Michael Brooks of COLNE HEATING . What a fantastic gentleman! He arrived next morning bang on time and discovered the problem: a broken valve. Michael had a replacement in his van. In the loft, the ball cock on the header tank needed replacing (there had been a constant drip from the overflow for ages). Again, a replacement was sourced from his van. He drained the radiators without fuss or disruption, put a scale inhibitor in the system, and said all was well. Looking at his detailed bill, his charges were more than reasonable. He explained everything as he went on and feels it better to replace worn parts than sell you a new boiler. He works quickly, efficiently, is spotlessly clean and makes no mess whatsoever, is courteous and a genuine pleasure to have in the home.
He has twenty-five years of continuous experience and is fully qualified.
We have booked Michael to do our regular annual boiler servicing and cannot recommend him highly enough.

I contacted Michael November 2016 after visiting his splendid website and arranged a boiler service.
Michael arrived on time but we realised some adaptations were needed to my new boiler cupboard to allow access for servicing. I apologised for inconveniencing him and he obligingly rearranged the service date.
Michael returned punctually for the rebooked date and efficiently serviced the boiler. The cost was exactly as agreed originally, meaning he never charged for the inconvenience. An impressive gesture.
In October 2017 the hot water and radiators malfunctioned.
I contacted Michael at 7.30 am and informed him of the problem.
By 1pm that day Michael had visited, identified the fault, collected the required new parts and fitted a new thermostat, all for a very reasonable price.
Michael is a reliable, knowledgeable, genuine and friendly individual and a highly proficient professional.
